Warning about directory scams and other fraudulent service providers

Providers of unofficial exhibitor directories and other trade fair-related services repeatedly cause annoyance among organisers and exhibitors.

These companies send out offer forms to exhibitors at German trade fairs. The structure of these companies' forms is such that it could be mistaken, for example, for a free entry in the official exhibitor directory of the trade fair organiser. In fact, however, the small print results in high costs

As exhibitors at our trade fairs, we would like to point out to you that these companies and their exhibitor directories have no business relationship whatsoever with GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH and the trade fairs we organise.

If you have already signed a form or concluded other contracts by mistake, you should revoke this as soon as possible or react with a declaration of rescission due to error.

If you are not sure whether an offer is directly from one of our trade fairs, then please contact us with your contact details. We will then contact you so that you can be sure when you fill in a form.

WARNING ABOUT FAKE E-MAILS

We have recently become aware of an increase in the number of emails being sent out without authorisation in the name of IFH/Intherm or in connection with the event. These emails are addressed to exhibitors and sponsors of IFH/Intherm. The messages falsely claim that there is a "pre-registration attendee list" or a complete list of registered visitors available for purchase or use.

These emails give the impression that they originate from IFH/Intherm or its official partners. To our knowledge, this is not the case.
IFH/Intherm does not sell, rent or share any personal data of visitors, exhibitors or participants to third parties unless there is a legal basis for doing so or express consent has been given.

In particular, statements such as:

All registered visitors would have agreed to be contacted by telephone or in writing.
The data could be used for trade fair or stand promotion.

are, in our opinion, incorrect and misleading.

Please note:

IFH/Intherm does not send emails with offers relating to visitor lists.
There is no official attendee list available for purchase.
The senders of such messages are not affiliated with IFH/Intherm or GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH.

We strongly advise against replying to such emails, disclosing any information, or making any payments.

Official information, services and communications from IFH/Intherm are provided exclusively via the trade fair's known and verified channels and via its expressly designated service providers.

Note: If you receive a suspicious email related to IFH/Intherm, you can forward it to the trade fair team for review.
